Access & Transport
Where possible and certainly if you are coming from within a 10 kilometer radius of the Factory, we recommend that you arrive by public transport and return by taxi (or public transport). The Newtown/Enmore Precinct are well served by public transport both trains and buses, late into the evening.

The following bus services stop outside the theatre: 423 and 426 (428 turns off at Addison Rd – Vic on the Park Hotel, 2 min walk from the Factory.) These services operate from Circular Quay via Central Station.
The combination of these three bus services results in an average frequency of around one bus every 10-15 minutes. Service frequencies are greatest on weekdays and lowest on weekends. Regular bus services cease at around midnight on most evenings. Around one-third of services are accessible, and these are identified on timetables.

Trains
The Factory Theatre is a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride from Newtown Railway Station. Bus services 423 and 426 operate from Newtown Station directly to The Factory Theatre. These services are reasonably frequent and continue late into the evening (after midnight). The Factory Theatre is also a 15 minute walk from Sydenham and Marrickville Railway Stations.

Cycling
Bicycle parking racks are available onsite within the Factory Theatre's carpark, and signs identify the location of these racks. A shower is available within the venue for bicycle users upon request.
Walking
The Newtown/Enmore precinct is pedestrian friendly, with well lit main thoroughfares. The Factory Theatre is 10 minutes walk from the Enmore Theatre or 20 minutes walk from Newtown Station. The walking route from Newtown Station and Enmore Theatre along Enmore Road and Victoria Road is direct, well-lit and secure.
Parking
Newtown/Enmore is well served by public transport and taxis. However, if it is necessary to drive there is limited onsite parking, and plentiful local street parking. In the immediate vicinity there is a small number of residential houses and patrons are strongly requested not to park in front of any houses. Patrons are recommended to park on one of the following streets which offer plentiful, unrestricted parking:
Victoria Road, including and along Enmore Park.
Rich Street, immediately past The Factory Theatre, on the right when travelling from the city.
Chapel Street, 20 meters past Rich Street on the left, when travelling from the city.
Patrons are asked to respect the neighbours by not parking in front of houses, especially along Cook Road, Brompton and Smith Streets. Patrons are also asked to keep noise to a minimum when returning to their vehicles.

Venue Bar
The Factory Theatre has a Licensed Bar. The Bars offer confectionery, snacks, soft drinks and alcohol. The following forms of I.D are required to purchase alcoholic beverages current Driver License, Proof of Age card or current Passport.
Restaurants
There is a limited number of eating venues in the immediate vicinity of The Factory. The Victoria on the Park Hotel, located near The Factory on the corner of Addison and Enmore Roads (opposite Enmore Park), serves meals on all nights of the week. The Factory is however located about 10 minutes walk from a large number of eating venues on Enmore Road, Enmore and a reasonable number on Marrickville Road, Marrickville.
TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT PLAN for THE FACTORY THEATRE 105-107 VICTORIA ROAD, MARRICKVILLE Objectives Objectives of the Transport Management Plan are: Encourage patrons to use transport other than private motor vehicles to access the venue. To manage car parking by patrons both on the site and in surrounding streets such that inconvenience to local residents is minimised. To regularly monitor and improve this Transport Plan with input from Council staff, transport providers, transport professionals and local residents. Non-Vehicle Transport Modes The web page for the Factory Theatre shall encourage the use of transport other than private motor vehicles and provide information on bus services, trains, taxi services, cycling and walking. A copy of the existing web page is attached. Bicycle parking facilities will be provided and maintained on site. A shower is available for bicycle users. The shower is intended for use mainly by Theatre employees, but will also be available to visitors upon request. Phone numbers for taxi services will be prominently displayed at the venue. Car Parking Management Signs are to be provided at the entrance gate stating “Patron Parking Available”. The web page for The Factory Theatre specifically states that car parking is available for patrons onsite. It advises that patrons parking on the street should park in Rich Street, Chapel Street or Victoria Road and not in front of houses in the vicinity of the theatre. A map is provided on the website. Information is provided to patrons at the time of purchase at Box Office in person, telephone sales and on line sales that supports the above. A security person will be stationed at the driveway entrance to supervise parking on the site. If the onsite car park becomes fully occupied, this person will direct any patrons driving to the driveway entrance to park specifically in Rich Street, Chapel Street or Victoria Road and not to park in Cook Road, Brompton Street and Smith Street. Note: This arrangement will not lapse over time and has been in place since August 2007.
