Wild Marmalade meld the ancient sounds of the Australian Didjeridu with contemporary techno style drumming to create fresh vibrant dance music characterized by blitzing tempos and tasty grooves. They use only real instruments with astonishing skill, without any effects or samples.
Inspired by both indigenous sounds and the beats of the now, Wild Marmalade’s high energy shows uplift audiences with their display of powerful, joyous and infectiously danceable music.
The Rhythm Hunters are a world music ensemble based on the Central Coast of NSW. Led by Rendra Freestone, The Rhythm Hunters play an inspired brand of physical drumming blended with tuned wood blocks & bronze percussion. Asian flute music is woven delicately into the thundering sound fabric of drums to create a music of heaven and earth. Influences come from Japanese taiko, Indonesian music and the multicultural soundscapes of modern day Australia.
If you have ever been captivated by tribal rhythms or lost in the bass bins of a sound system, then Percussion Junction are for you. Fusing traditional percussion and hard hitting drums with funky-ass bass lines they form a sound that not only sends crowds into a dancing frenzy but may reshape the way you think about dance music.
