Jodeci are undoubtedly one of the greatest RnB groups of the 90’s, if not of all time. They dominated the charts for a 5 year period with millions of albums sold, 5 number one hits and a string of awards, and went on to influence many other artists including Dru Hill, Jagged Edge, Missy Elliott, Ginuwine, Mary J Blige, P. Diddy and Usher. And now for the first time in Australia and New Zealand, the bad boys of RnB – Jodeci, are making their way down under for the long awaited Reunion Tour featuring all four members – K-Ci, JoJo, Devante Swing and Mr Dalvin.
Consisting of two sets of brothers, Jodeci formed and released their classic debut album “Forever My Lady” in 1991 to massive worldwide acclaim. The album featured three #1 US singles – “Stay”, “Forever My Lady” and “Come And Talk To Me”. At the time, Jodeci were extremely unique because for the first time in music history, they married up RnB and hip hop and came along with a mixture of beautiful vocals, production heavily influenced by the likes of Dr Dre, and a bad boy image usually reserved for hip hop. Jodeci continued to push their new genre further and further throughout their career and followed up their triple platinum debut with “Diary Of A Mad Band” in 1993, and their final album “The Show, The After Party, The Hotel” in 1995.
