OMARION, FATMAN SCOOP, PHINESSE, PANJO 5 and DJ NINO BROWN are confirmed to perform at the inaugural Winter Jam Tour presented by Strathfield this July in Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast.
Grammy Nominated artist OMARION has come a long way in a short time. After making his mark as the lead singer of R&B’s multi platinum quartet B2K, Omarion with his soulful voice, riveting stage presence and undeniable charisma, has since released 3 successful solo albums with a new album slated for this year. OMARION is not just a singer. He is a singer-songwriter, a dancer and actor. He has made numerous television appearances on shows like “Punk’d”, “The Sharon Osbourne Show” and the “American Music Awards” and has also acted on the big screen with key roles in “Fat Albert” and “You Got Served”.
Grammy Award Winner FATMAN SCOOP is an international icon. Never a conformist but always an individualist, this larger than life personality has a relentless drive to entertain his audience – whether it is via his hugely successful national radio show: Full Throttle Radio alongside DJ Mr. Vince, on MTV with this reality TV Show Man & Wife or musically. Musically, Fatman Scoop has many success stories and performed with, alongside or assisted many of the great urban hip hops acts of today, including: Missy Elliot, Mariah Carey, Fergie, Public Enemy, Janet Jackson, Cypress Hill. He is probably best known for his track ‘Be Faithful’ which is still a favourite in clubs all around the world today.
Already supporting international superstars such as 50 Cent & Lil Jon on their Australasian tours, Melbourne duo PHINESSE is destined for huge success. With a forthcoming debut album ‘Audio Therapy’ due for release this year and a new single out featuring Spider Loc ‘Are You Down?’ Phinesse’s fusion of pop and RnB is certain to cross into the mainstream market.
PANJO 5 formed in 2008 via an audition process that was filmed and edited into a television series titled “Airtime!” The series aired on Nickelodeon in November 2008 and subsequently on Channel Nine in January 2009. The pilot for the second season of “Airtime”, which follows the band on the road, is currently in production. “Move”, the first single from Panjo 5, hit the airwaves in September 2008, debuting at No. 1 on the AIR chart and reaching No. 50 on the ARIA chart. The bands second single “Stay Closer” was added to Hot 30 in its second week of release and has received national radio airplay. The clip for the single has also been the No 1. most requested on Channel V. This young band are a must see!
