The Frontier Touring Company is thrilled to announce the return of Canadian rockers Hot Hot Heat this January for a headline show in support of their latest album Future Breeds.
This will be Hot Hot Heat’s only Sydney show whilst the band are in Australia for Falls Festival and their explosive live performance will surely be amplified in the intimate space of The Factory Theatre.
The band, comprised of Steve Bays (Vocals/Keyboard), Luke Paquin (Guitar/Vocals), Louis Hearn (Bass) and Paul Hawley (Drums/Percussion) will perform songs from Future Breeds as well as hits from previous albums such as ‘Bandages’ and ‘Middle of Nowhere’.
Future Breeds is Hot Hot Heat’s fifth studio offering since their debut Make Up The Breakdown over a decade ago and has reaffirmed their place in the international indie rock scene since its release in June this year. Featuring infectious tracks such as ‘21 @ 12’, front man Bays explains; “It had to be a freak show and a barrage of ideas that weren’t over-thought to the point of being stripped away or streamlined. Sometimes the best moments are the ones that are redundant, pointless or meaningless because they can also symbolize freedom, youth and rebellion.”
Critics agree it is the band’s most exhilarating effort to date. Bursting with energy and spontaneity, Future Breeds showcases a return to Hot Hot Heat’s vibrant party rock that will surely translate into a performance that can’t be missed.
