You may have caught Melbourne singer-songwriter Lachlan Bryan at The Factory recently when he supported the legendary Steve Earle – or perhaps at The Metro where he supported another legend – John Hiatt. Now, on the back of his stand-out performances at Bluesfest 2012 and a bunch of glowing reviews, Lachlan is heading back to Sydney to launch his stellar debut album Shadow of the Gun.
In what will be a very special performance, Lachlan and a slew of very special guests and friends will recreate the album live in the intimate surrounds of The Factory Floor at 105 Victoria Road, Marrickville. Lachlan Bryan’s performances always have a sense of occasion, but this rare Sydney headline show is not to be missed.
“Lachlan is an extraordinary songwriter in the spirit and tradition of artists like Townes van Zandt, John Prine and Gillian Welch” Susan Jarvis, Capital News.
“With a voice like molasses and guitar skill to match. Think Jordie Lane, but more of a country bent, and you’ve got Lachlan Bryan, who is destined for bigger things” Sam Fell, Rhythms Mag.
“Bryan’s voice sits right beside you. It’s music made for sharing” Bernard Zuel, Sydney Morning Herald
“(Bryan’s) stories and musings are as personal as they are universal – rich in heartache, humour and world weary wisdom” Chris Lambie, Tsunami Mag.
