Sydney’s premier queer alt-pop rockers, Maxine Kauter Band, have been loving up audiences for years now. They have releases two albums to critical acclaim, 2008’s self-titled debut and 2011’s, Alibech the Hermit. Both have scored them airplay on Triple J and FBI and many stations around the country. They have been the subject of two Triple J Unearthed ‘Featured Artist’ spots and have been named The Brag’s CD of the week.

Likened to The Cowboy Junkies, Neko Case and Mazzy Star, Maxine Kauter Band have established a reputation for delivering a devastatingly great live show. If you like your music melodic and literate you will like this band. If you like music that makes you think of loves lost and won while you tap your feet then this is the band for you.
