Bob Mould finally returns to Australia, this time with his band to play selections from Copper Blue and Silver Age as well as highlights from his immensely influential Hüsker Dü, Sugar and Solo catalogue.
1984 – Hüsker Dü release Zen Arcade, an album which “exploded the limits of hardcore and what it could achieve… it’s impossible to overestimate the impact of Zen Arcade on the American rock underground” (Allmusic)
1992 – Sugar release Copper Blue, an album that “combined Hüsker Dü‘s passionate intensity with a new, steely pop resolve” (Uncut) and won the prestigious NME Album Of The Year 2012 – Bob Mould releases Silver Age, which “arrives as a totem of Mould’s continued influence on today’s mainstream rock (Foo Fighters, Green Day) and indie-level (No Age, Japandroids) artists alike.” (Pitchfork)
After twenty years, an album reissue, a solo turn, an autobiography and a tribute concert where the likes of Dave Grohl and Ryan Adams paid homage to him, Mould is still kicking ass and taking names. Performing a healthy dose of Hüsker Dü, Sugar and solo tunes including tracks from Mould’s new album, Silver Age, this is a live concert not to miss.
