There has only been 3 East West dance parties since the very first event right here at the Factory Theatre back in October 2011, however, the event is already the biggest name in Sydney’s Persian dance party scene. The 4th East West is a special Norooz event (Iranian New Year) with an impressive line-up of local DJ’s and artists.
KAZILLION East West Dance Party and the whole concept of a mash-up of exotic Eastern sounds with Western beats, is the brainchild of Sydney’s DJ Kazillion (Mani Veiszadeh). Kazillion burst onto Sydney’s Persian dance scene in March 2012 when he played in from of a record crowd of 7,000 at Sydney Park (St Peters) for the Persian New year special calendar date, “Chahar-Shanbe Suri”. After that epic start, Kazillion has supported 2 of the biggest names in Persian dance, DjBlutex (Bia2.com) and DJ Taba (Radio Javan) at the last 2 East West dance parties.
This East west will be supported by 2 rising stars of Persian Music: Sydney’s very own DJ Danial Shafi and Troy Panah who is a Sony BMG signed artist at the tender age of 16.
