To coincide with the release of their second album Not Art, alt-pop outfit Big Scary have today announced the details of their upcoming national Not Art album tour, which will kick off in August. Melbourne singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett will be joining Big Scary as national tour support.
To bring the Not Art sound to life, Tom Iansek and Jo Syme will be joined on stage by two additional players in what promises to be unlike any Big Scary shows seen before.
“Another smart, compelling listen. Watch this space.” Vogue
“Not Art is a compelling, complex and fascinating album to listen to. …the duo has created a hauntingly beautiful album full of emotionally-charged harmonies and stunning instrumental melodies – a pure delight for anyone’s ears.” The Music Network
“…an excellent album by two excellent musicians.” Rip It Up
“Not Art, ironically but undoubtedly, very much is. Arm the accolades and be ready to fire them in Big Scary’s direction.” Tonedeaf
“Not Art is worth the wait. The duo – Tom Iansek and Jo Syme – have thrown everything they have to create 11 tracks’ worth of the oft-beautiful, considered and minimalist music that Vacation hinted towards.” Drum Media
