When Scott “Groges” Barker suddenly passed away last January, the Sydney rock community lost undisputedly one of its nicest guys - for more than a decade Scott fronted garage punk rockers, Hell Crab City.

On Thursday 2nd April at the Factory Floor in Marrickville, Scott’s rock and roll brothers and sisters will host a tribute night featuring some of his favourite bands, to celebrate his life and help his family.

Reprising the classic Not Meant For This World/Teen Sublimation Riffs lineup, one of this country’s finest exponents of Detroit‐inspired rock’n’roll, ASTEROID B612, will come together for the first time in almost 20 years, in this format. Original frontman, Grant McIver together with John Spittles (Johnny Casino), Stewart Cunningham (Leadfinger), Scott Nash and Ben Fox, will deliver their very own brand of two-‐fisted rock’n’roll once more.

Sword‐brandishing 60s garage miscreants THE CRUSADERS will take to the stage for the first time since the Middle Ages to get fat, drunk and stupid with us once again. “Think hard‐boiled fuzz songs with the safety catch off, spat out scatter‐gun fashion and in rapid‐fire time… delivered by four grown men in masks and knight outfits.” – The Barman

Helped out by friends and ex-members, punk rock and rollers HELL CRAB CITY will deliver their finale show. Feeling the massive loss of frontman Scott, the band has decided to not continue without him. However, they will perform this one last gig in tribute to their fallen mate.

Featuring members who’ve graced bands like Fur, Johnny Casino and the Secrets, the Lowderados, Hell Crab City and more, old pals Mark Horne, Peter “Booges” Werth and Mick Poole are 300 ST. CLAIRE. Originally formed in the 90s and last appearing at Scott’s 50th birthday, the guys traverse driving post-‐punk riffs to swamp‐inflected rock.

The night will also feature DJs and a raffle to raise money.

Come along, raise a glass and rock out in memory of our very best mate, Groges.

All proceeds will go to Scott’s family.
