Wiley, The Godfather of Grime will make his Australian headline-tour debut in March 2016 with two special guests Target and Danny Weed
With over 10 studio albums and 12 singles released to date and huge success in the UK and US, Wiley is synonymous with the UK genre that has seen him produce hits such as Wearing My Rolex and Never Be Your Woman Feat. Emeli Sande.
Wiley was the co-founder of the grime crew Roll Deep along with co-founder Dizzee Rascal. The crew’s debut album In At The Deep End sold over 85k copies domestically and went of to win Best Album at the 2005 Urban Music Awards. The crew history for Roll Deep reads like a ‘who’s who’ of Grime, notable previous members include Skepta & Tinchy Stryder.
Target and Danny Weed both joined the Roll Deep crew in 2002 and are integral architects to the Grime scene working since the early days with Wiley. Wiley’s most recent record 2015s #8 is a triumphant return to form following the huge crossover success of the 2013 album The Ascent.
Coming in 2016, all three are heading to Australian for four exclusive dates. Expect to be taken on headlong ride through the history on Grime.
