Belle Haven is more than just a band. Belle Haven means family.
Consisting of five best friends who call Melbourne home and have an overwhelming passion for music and people, Belle Haven is a constantly evolving art form. Releasing their debut record ‘Everything Ablaze’ in March 2015, the band has since been consistently touring both nationally and internationally.
October 2016 saw the release of their new chart topping single, ‘The Carving Knife’, which left the impression that the band’s growth has only just begun and that impression has rung true with their latest release from their new album “Selfmade”, a track written to bite back at the snakes in the water.
“‘You, Me and Everything in Between’ has been a long time coming.” Explains vocalist David Vernon. “There are way too many people in the world who feel used, betrayed and manipulated on a daily basis. I hope this record can resonate with those people and inspire them to come to terms with when it’s right to burn a bridge. I’ve been there so many times and that’s the hardest part; knowing when to leave.”
“The band has been screwed around by so many ‘professionals’ and ‘friends’ over the past few years and we’ve never really spoken out about it. It’s liberating to feel like we’re finally talking about it to some degree.” Guitarist Chris Vernon says of the single.
Joining Belle Haven in June will be Adelaide favourites Ambleside. After the success of their latest offering ‘Shape Me’ and their recent national tour supporting Trophy Eyes in February, Ambleside are one of Australia’s hardest working local bands. With a severe case of wanderlust, the Adelaide 5 piece are pursuing the sounds and experiences that make up a large part of their lives; touring with friends, and providing a platform of songs and values for people to connect and engage with.
Rounding up this diverse package are Brisbane’s very own Deadlights. Having crafted a sound and live show that is truly unique, Deadlights have been given the opportunity to share the stage with everyone from Confession to Silverstein, and from Every Time I Die to Dance Gavin Dance. They have become the band people go home and instantly tell their friends about. Their debut album ‘Mesma’ will be out through Greyscale Records April 21st.
Tickets to the “Selfmade” tour are on sale now! This truly a unique and exciting show you do not want to miss out on.
