In anticipation of their European tours in September/October 2017, Hemina and Toehider have joined forces with Sevsons and Carmeria for an exciting evening of Prog Rock and Metal at Sydney’s Factory Floor which has become the home of local progressive Progressive music.

Hemina have had a successful run of shows since the launch of their 3rd album ‘Venus’ playing alongside all the local heroes in Caligula’s Horse, Voyager and Twelve Foot Ninja as well as Protest the Hero. This time the boys and girl are headlining and showcasing a wealth of material from their newly acclaimed album.

Hemina are a 4 piece Progressive Metal band from Sydney, Australia. The band’s sound has been described as a unique combination of hard hitting syncopated grooves, lush synth backwashes, multi-part vocal harmonies, blistering memorable leads with a focus on songwriting and emotion.

Following his appearance on Ayreon’s #1 chart topping “The Source” album, Mike Mills brings the latest incarnation of TOEHIDER to Sydney for the first time this year. Playing fresh new material from their upcoming project this is the last Sydney show for the band before Mike embarks to join the rest of the crew for the once in a lifetime Ayreon Universe shows in September in the Netherlands. Frontman Mike Mills with his mind-bending voice and maniacal stage antics needs to be experienced firsthand.

SEVSONS are a progressive rock outfit from Western Sydney. Influenced by bands such as Karnivool, TesseracT, Steven Wilson and Dead Letter Circus, SEVSONS bring a completely unique sound to the stage. Heavy riffs, complex drumming and bass lines underpin soaring vocals, culminating in a truly diverse and intricate flavour of Progressive Rock. SEVSONS have their eyes on the world stage, and bring a totally professional performance to every gig.

Following a hiatus spanning 2 years, Carmeria have returned with a cacophonous new line-up and sound, fusing gothic and progressive elements to create a cathartic symphonic metal soundscape.

“Swedish influenced euro metal, a la Amorphis forced through Evanescence with snappy breakdowns.”Luke Cowan, Reverb Street Press
