THE BLURST is the retro-futurist dream pop project of Liam Patrick O’Shea, a Sydney-based multi-instrumentalist. This special night marks the release of his self-produced debut album, PSYCHIC CROSSTALK. You may encounter glitched beats, mangled guitars, and surreal lyrical imagery that could be from a lost 70’s sci-fi musical soundtracked by Captain Beefheart. A few special “electrical” surprises are in store for this… (but we can’t say too much about that). His prior DOGDOG EP launch featured the smashing of a two-headed dog piñata as a steady stream of candy pummelled the audience.

Make sure you get to this show early to catch two incredible mind-melting special guests:

Mulder was right! Aliens ARE real! And some of them play in bands??? If you want to believe, you absolutely cannot miss DWEEB CITY… “GIRL BAND FROM SPACE, WE CAME TO EARTH TO MAKE EARS BLEED AND KNEES WEAK”.

REMY PHILLIPPS fuses an offbeat pop sensibility with an obsession in making his guitar sound like rude machines. Using a pedalboard made out of an old bass guitar case and a mismatched selection of modified and self-built guitar pedals, he creates sounds that overwhelm and underwhelm you alternatively within minutes.
