Double Negative is Harmony’s third album. To celebrate its release Harmony play their first and only headline show in Sydney in four years.

Harmony are a grinding concoction of gallows blues and balladry. Their instrumental component lopes and swaggers and occasionally erupts into white noise that hums in stark contrast to it’s principal point of light – three soulful vocalists who offer call and response refrains and provide opportunities for songs to reach true moments of majestic cacophony and beauty. Double Negative is a departure from their previous albums, solely concerned with Love and matters of the heart.

Harmony have released three 7” singles, an AIR nominated self titled debut album and a critically acclaimed sophomore record Carpetbombing. They have collaborated with Tom Waits’ long time guitarist Marc Ribot and Australia’s finest songwriter Don Walker from Cold Chisel. Harmony’s songs have been covered by the likes of Adalita, Mick Turner (Dirty Three), Qua, Summer Flake, TV Colours, Batpiss and more. They have toured Australia tirelessly, including appearances at All Tomorrow’s Parties, Boogie Festival, Golden Plains, All Good In The Wood, Melbourne Music Week, The National Gallery of Victoria, Port Royal, Blurst Of Times and shows in support of Public Image Ltd, Explosions In The Sky, The Drones, La Dispute,  Deer Tick amongst many more.

One of the finest live bands in the country Harmony have been nominated for best live band by The Music Victoria Awards for good reason.
