New Zealand born producer, rapper, singer, songwriter, KINGS (Kingdon Chapple – Wilson) burst onto the music scene in 2016 with the release of his single, ‘Don’t Worry ‘Bout It’. The track went on to become the biggest local release that year and surpassed the record for longest #1 on the New Zealand Singles Chart, spending 33 consecutive weeks at the top.

In late 2017, Kings returned, displaying his musical dexterity with his independently released debut album, ‘Chapter One’. Featuring the hits ‘We’ll Never Know’, ‘Domino’ and ‘In The Sun’, the album has clocked up over 4 million streams across its 13 tracks.

Not one for complacency, Kings quickly followed it up with his second album ‘TWO’, in early 2018, which featured the singles ‘You Do’ and ‘Temporary Me’. In less than six months the album clocked up over 4 million (7.5 million to date) streams and has seen Kings appear on the APRA Silver Scroll Award top twenty list for ‘Temporary Me’. Kings has also spent time collaborating with artists such as Ria Hall, MELODOWNZ and Jon Toogood’s The Adults.

In late 2018, Kings released his third album, ‘LOV3 & 3GO’, which featured the hits ‘6 Figures’ and ‘ALIV3’. The lead single, ‘6 Figures’, hit gold status just three months after being independently release and is now currently sitting at platinum status, in less than a year.

Not just dominant in the studio, KINGS has become one of Aotearoa’s most in demand live acts, performing at countless gigs and some of the country’s biggest events and festivals, including Homegrown, Rhythm and Vines, One Love, Bay Dreams, Electric Coastline, Float, Deep, Hard & Funky and Soundsplash. He also performed as part of the 2017 British and Irish Lions tour, at the Wellington Sevens, ASB Tennis Classic and supported a number of acts including TLC, Six60 and Norwegian duo Nico & Vinz on their summer tours.
