Mixtape For The Drive are a Pop Punk band from Wollongong NSW & they’re ready to blow the roof off The Fusebox on Feb 1st!

Having a pretty incredible run since its inception in 2014, Mixtape For The Drive has landed national tours alongside a bunch of international heavyweights such as Unwritten Law, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Lagwagon, Hawthorne Heights, Flatliners & Mest.

Their debut album “Thanks For Wading” has 12 high energy pop punk tracks that tackle a variety of relatable topics from house parties to talent shows to hernias & Han Solo. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, it’ll make you want to hug some random guy… It’s a crazy roller coaster of catchy lyrics & melodies that’ll make you sing from start to finish. This album is Mixtape’s follow up to the 2014 EP ‘Stories’ produced by Whak Taahi & it’s full of surprises.

The debut album’s first single “Show Me What You Got” is a song that hits out at the manufactured music industry, taking aim at those talent shows we’ve all come to know & ‘love’ (or not so much!). The film clip features some familiar Aussie faces including talent show host Lindsay Mcdougall (Triple J, Frenzal Rhomb) and special guest judge Aaron Gocs.

Life Music Media described Mixtape For The Drive as having a “no-bulls#$%, up-front pop punk set, & a refreshing change from the manufactured “punk” bands of late.” Supporting the night will be Pop Punk Bands Afterthought, MackDaddy & Scuffs who will keep the stage pumping all night. Australian pop-punk rules!
