SBM Presents, the promoter of Frank Turner has regretfully advised that in relation to the global Covid-19 pandemic, this event has been cancelled.

“Unfortunately due to recent Government restrictions the forthcoming Frank Turner show at The Factory Theatre on 3rd April 2020 will no longer be going ahead.”

All tickets purchased through Seat Advisor will be refunded in full. You do not need to contact the Factory Theatre Box Office to receive this refund. All patrons will receive an email with further details.

Please see below the official statement from Frank Turner:

Hi everyone. My team and I have obviously been following the news like hawks this last week, both at home and abroad, and working day and night to figure out what the best course of action is for upcoming shows. This is super stressful time for everyone, not least in the live music industry, which is facing nothing short of a catastrophe.

In the last couple of days, both Australia and New Zealand have announced mandatory 14-day quarantine periods for new arrivals into the country, travel bans, and / or restrictions of live events. For obvious reasons, this means that my shows there, planned for next month, cannot go ahead.

I am really gutted about this, I was very much looking forward to returning to visit my friends there, but there are things in this world more important than my little shows. The gigs are cancelled, and refunds will be made, or are available at the point of purchase. I will do everything I can to get back to your shores as soon as possible, though again right now it’s difficult to say when exactly that will be. We’ll work on booking something in once everything has calmed down.

In the meantime, let’s all stay safe and healthy, wash our hands, listen to the advice of medical professionals, and be kind and considerate to our fellow humans in this trying time. Peace.

Prolific singer-songwriter and folk-punk rebel Frank Turner makes his return to Australia and New Zealand April 2020!

The tour dates will see Frank Turner bring his unwavering, frantic and formidable live set to Auckland, Wellington, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide stages alongside a slot at Bluesfest. Joining Frank on the Australian dates will be the passionate punk rocker, Bec Stevens and on the NZ dates will be the dynamic and Indie zest-drenched BEING. (hot tip – get there early and don’t miss their sets!).

Touring in support of his latest album ‘No Man’s Land’, which features an all-female cast of musicians, focusing on inspirational women from all walks of life whose stories have been largely overlooked. Honing in on his love of folk with acoustic guitar the guiding force, he tells these stories (many of them dark and tragic) with empathy, tenderness, and a desire to illuminate curiosity about his subjects, highlighting both their struggles and valiant successes, making ‘No Man’s Land’ a welcome addition to Turner’s critically acclaimed catalogue.

“It’s bringing together my two main interests in life, which have always been separate from each other – history and songwriting,” explains Turner, who can be found seeking out long-forgotten historical sites on self-guided psycho-geographical strolls when he’s not packing out arenas or headlining festivals. Delivering his yearningly honest and heartfelt punk-tinged catalogue, don’t miss UK’s Frank Turner on his Australian and New Zealand 2020 tour!
