The promoter of Torch Fest has regretfully advised that this event has been rescheduled with a new date to be confirmed.

“It is with extreme sadness, and a heavy heart, that I have to inform you that Torch Fest has had to be postponed. This comes after an emergency meeting of our Board of Directors where they discussed the ongoing impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). In the past 24 hours three more music festivals have been cancelled, and two Australian University campuses have been temporarily closed, and the threat being elevated to pandemic status has meant that we have had to make the difficult decision.

As a mental health music charity the health and wellbeing of our staff, artists, suppliers and sponsors are of the utmost importance, and it would be remiss of us not to take that into account when putting on a show that would bring so many people together in one place. Ironically our passion for uniting people seems to not be the best course of action at this time.

The festival was 18 months in the planning, and we were incredibly excited about the positive impact that it would have with patrons and artists alike, and that is why we are committed to putting on the show later in the year once the health and safety concerns have subsided.

Thank you for all of your support to date, I am personally very grateful, and I look forward to working with you on an alternative date when we can bring our festival to life under better circumstances.”

Once the new show date has been confirmed patrons will be notified by email and we will update this webpage. If you are unable to attend the new date, you will receive a full refund.

Torch Fest – The light that gets you through

Australia’s biggest mental health music festival will complete a full complex takeover of The Factory Theatre, and all 6 of its stages, to put on music, mental health, comedy and theatre programming for a purposefully intimate crowd of just 1,200 attendees.

56 artists including Alfie Arcuri, Austen, Daft Punk Discovery, Ellie Drennan, Nyxen, Tia Gostelow, Timomatic and Yuma X will take to the 4 stages of music across the duration of the 1 day festival. All performers on the day will perform their Torch Song, the light that gets you through, as part of their full set and the festival will distribute battery-powered torches to each attendee to flick on when each of the Torch Songs are played throughout the day.

In addition to the music stages, Torch Fest will house a stage of comedy, featuring 10 comedians, and a stage with dedicated mental health programming, featuring mindfulness, music meditation, silent disco, mental health talks and will provide attendees with tools and resources to take care of their own, and others’, mental health.
