The Doe and the Scapegoat

The Doe and The Scapegoat are your older brothers new favorite band. Two parts brass and blues guitar, one-part grunge, shaken not stirred and garnished with the blood, sweat and tears of drummer, Josh, to taste. Lead vocalist Matt’s delivery has all the morbidity of your favorite punk poets, but the bite to back the distorted, blues-scape and psych explosion painted by the band. Drawling vocals surprise you with their poeticism and contrast a carefully curated cacophony of melodic horn and bass groove. Top it off with some big drum energy; The Doe and the Scapegoat grows on you like a hole in your favorite shirt.

John Lawrie and the Welcome Strangers

John Lawrie & The Welcome Strangers are a four-piece alternative rock band from Sydney. With John’s crooning bass-baritone voice, and their unique blend of shoegaze and the blues (bluegaze if you will), the band hit hard with their high energy live sets. Their mix of introspective, existential lyrics, dreamy atmospheres, and indie-rock beats will have you feeling sad on the dance floor.

Gene Gibson

Gene Gibson is a 60s crooner that’s always in tuna, his unique formula of poignant angst lines and hooky blues riffs will have you captivated by the way his hair moves when he plays guitar. Always raw and unsettling with honesty, Gene has been known to really get the crowd going. His wistful songs of lost love and life on the road will get under your skin and leave you feeling punch drunk in love.
