Beat Heads Radio Show and 2SER present Battle of the Beats, a knockout tournament where 16 of Australia's finest producers and beatmakers go head-to-head for supremacy. This is battle of the bands for the production world. Competitors bring up to 12 beats if they reach the finals, with each round eliminating half the field until one beatmaker stands victorious. If you would like to join the battle head to www.threatnique.com/battle and flip the sample provided and fill in the form.

The day features a live performance from Melbourne's Sadiva, one of the most dedicated figures in Australia's beat scene. Known for her boom bap sound on the SP-404 and Maschine, Sadiva has built an international reputation while championing opportunities for young women in production through her Women of the World compilations. Her work spans from Melbourne clubs to stages across the US, Canada, and Japan.

Also performing is Doctor Robot [from the year nine million], a time-traveling entity from Sydney's underground who brings theatrical production complete with sub-stage tunnels and flute solos. In a future where grooves replace currency, this cult figure has carved out legendary status across the city's circuit.

Hosting duties go to P Smurf and iKATANA. P Smurf, known as the Mayor of Newtown, runs Scratches Records and has been a cornerstone of Sydney hip hop for over a decade through groups like Daily Meds and Reverse Polarities. His rapid-fire delivery and community work have made him one of the scene's most respected voices. Joining him is iKATANA, a New York-raised artist, singer, and founder of Australia's Hush Club, bringing together event curation and positive community vibes through local emerging music.

The event is supported by izotope/Native Instruments, Devious Machines, Turramurra Music, Titus Jones Bar, Halcyon Daze Records, Mixed by Espa, 2SER, and Teenage Engineering.
