Due to the most recent COVID-19 restrictions, Hands Like Houses' upcoming shows at the Factory Theatre have been rescheduled to Friday 9 April, and both shows have been combined to a single 8:00pm show.
All existing tickets for both the 6.30pm show and 9pm show will be valid for the new date and time.
Acclaimed Canberra five-piece Hands Likes Houses inject a fresh dose of modern stadium rock into Australia’s thriving alternative scene. With ARIA success, critical acclaim, a triple j feature album, sold out tours and legions of global fans under their belt, the band, with over ten years together, are poised to break even more ground as they step into this new decade.
Hands Like Houses – comprised of Trenton Woodley (vocals), Matt Cooper (guitar), Alex Pearson (guitar/vocals), Joel Tyrrell (bass/vocals) and Matt Parkitny (drums) – released their self-titled EP in October 2020, and with it, beckoned fans into a new era of HLH. Collisions, resolutions, communication barriers and expression heavily inform the themes found on the EP. Laying bare the journey that took place penning the release, it takes listeners on a deep-dive into the chaos and calm of its whirlwind beachside writing and recording process – scars and all. The ‘Reflect’ Tour is a chance to slow down, take a breath and reflect on the challenges this year has presented, using that experience to inform a new take on the music it’s produced, the opportunities it’s given and the things that we’ve missed the most. These COVID-safe shows are our first real opportunity to return to live music in a way that doesn’t reject the ‘new normal’ but embraces it wholly, with a reimagined set and a uniquely intimate HLH experience.
