About

Established in 2006, The Factory Theatre has become a key part of Sydney’s live entertainment landscape, presenting a diverse mix of music, comedy, cabaret, film, dance and performance from both established names and emerging talent.

The Factory Theatre’s events reflect the breadth of Sydney’s cultural scene – from international touring acts and nationally recognised comedians to independent musicians, emerging performers and new creative voices.

Who We Are
Who We Are

At our core, the Factory Theatre is about the performers on stage and the audiences who come to experience them.

The Factory Theatre provides platform for artists across music, comedy, film, dance and live performance to perform, test new work and connect with audiences – from major touring productions to smaller-scale shows that give emerging performers room to develop their craft. All while giving audiences the chance to discover new talent before they break through to larger stages!

We run our own free live music initiative, Freekin’ Weekends, working with emerging artists throughout daylight saving and providing an affordable platform for audiences to experience live music.

The Factory Theatre also plays an active role in some of Sydney’s major cultural events, including the Sydney Comedy Festival and Sydney Fringe Festival.

We are committed to supporting artists at every stage of their careers and contributing to the growth of Sydney’s creative culture.
