Crown Ruler & Stones Throw Records Present: 30 Years of Stones Throw Records

For three decades, Stones Throw Records has stood as one of the most important and influential independent record labels in the world. Founded in Los Angeles by the visionary DJ, curator and cultural pioneer Peanut Butter Wolf, the label has shaped the course of hip-hop, soul, funk, jazz and electronic music, championing artists who continually redefine the boundaries of contemporary music.

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Crown Ruler and Stones Throw Records present a special Sydney showcase honouring the label's remarkable legacy while spotlighting its ever-evolving future.

Leading the bill is Peanut Butter Wolf, the legendary founder of Stones Throw Records, returning to Australia with the deep crates, impeccable selections and singular vision that helped shape generations of music lovers worldwide.

Joining him is Knxwledge, one of contemporary beat culture's most celebrated producers and a defining figure in the evolution of instrumental hip-hop, whose influence can be heard across modern rap and electronic music.

Also appearing is Mndsgn, the multi-talented producer, musician and live performer whose rich, genre-defying catalogue has made him one of the label's most beloved contemporary artists.

Completing the lineup is Michi, making her Australian debut. The rapidly rising R&B and soul vocalist represents a vibrant new chapter in the Stones Throw story, bringing her distinctive songwriting and magnetic live presence to Eora for the first time.

From the groundbreaking works of J Dilla and Madlib to a new generation of innovators, Stones Throw has become far more than a record label — it is a cultural institution whose influence can be heard throughout contemporary music. This rare Sydney event celebrates the past, present and future of a label whose impact continues to resonate around the globe.
