ChillCheney, who is making his neoteric mark on the music industry was born and raised without a musical background, ChillCheney found his calling at the age of 14. The transformative lyrics of 2Pac's "Changes" ignited a passion for rap that has since defined his artistic trajectory.
ChillCheney's music, characterised by its emotional depth and dark undertones, pays homage to eminent artists such as Eminem, NF, Gnash, 6lack, Phora, Billie Eilish, and Lil Wayne.
His performance record is an eclectic mix of events and venues, including, COOEE festival (2019) and Yabun Festival (2023). He hosted his own show at the Metro Theatre, Sydney, shared the stage with Nitrous Battles at the Melbourne Pavilion, and warmed the crowd for Drapht during his tour (2022). His notable performances also include supporting Tech N9ne at his Sydney show (2022) and livening up various university events from orientation weeks to year-end social gatherings.
ChillCheney shares, "Any free time I'd get, I'd write, record, sing, and work on skills. I would try and make the most of that time by pushing myself as far as I could. There are times when I get stressed, especially when juggling everything. But music has shown me how to manage my time and, without music, I would feel lost. I'm not an open person, but through music I've found a way where I can truly express my feelings."
With a life deeply entwined with his art, ChillCheney continues to shape his musical journey, using every note and lyric as a lens through which he explores and expresses his world.
ChillCheney will be joined by The Drivesbys. The Drivebys are an up and coming alternative rock band whos’ sound consist of lead singer and rhythm guitarist Porsha Hobson, bassist and backing vocalist Jean Griffin, lead guitarist Baxter Dick Evans and Drummer Sam Cohen. Playing for a little over four months, their aesthetic is characterized by chaotic, loud, heavy, and powerful sounds that are similar to Radiohead, Nirvana and The Cure.
Joining both bands, Third Act brings and intimate experience filled with a variety of genres including pop, funk, soul and never heard before original pieces. Join vocalists Hannah, Lori Joyce and Jessa Verone in rich blends of contemporary and heart-warming pieces that will encapsulate you through their power of music.
