Get Ready to Rewind: Australia’s Most Fun 70s, 80s & 90s Dance Party Hits the Factory Theatre!
Dust off your leg warmers, tease up your hair, and get ready for a night of pure nostalgia! On Friday, July 11th, 2026, the Factory Theatre Marrickville transforms into a time machine for the ultimate retro showdown. We are bringing you "Australia’s Most Fun 70s, 80s & 90s Rock/Pop Dance Party"—a high-energy spectacular featuring two incredible bands, three glorious decades of music, and non-stop wall-to-wall hits.
This isn’t just a gig; it’s a musical journey through the ages. We are celebrating the evolution of the party anthem, from the disco and new wave explosion of the 70s and early 80s right through to the power ballads and pop explosions of the late 80s and 90s.
Two Bands, Three Decades, One Epic Night! The stage will be set for a dynamic double-header that covers the full spectrum of retro cool.
SET 1: FINGER BUN: Kicking off the nostalgia trip, Finger Bun takes you back to where it all began. They are celebrating the golden age of the 70s and the early-80s new wave revolution. With high-energy theatrics and infectious grooves, they capture the era when synthesizers met rock and roll. Get ready to sing along to the timeless classics that started it all, featuring the best of The B-52s, A Flock of Seagulls, Kim Wilde, INXS and Pseudo Echo. They’ll also be serving up massive slices of Aussie rock history with the early hits of Icehouse and INXS. If it’s a classic pre-1985 banger, Finger Bun is bringing it to life!
SET 2: GLOSS: Once the timeline shifts to the era of big hair, big voices, and stadium fillers, Gloss takes the stage. Covering the explosive energy of the late 80s and the pop-rock dominance of the 90s, Gloss turns the party intensity up to eleven. They deliver the power anthems that defined the MTV generation and beyond. Expect to scream your lungs out to the biggest hits from Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Whitesnake, Toto and Pat Benatar, alongside the ultimate pop perfection of Belinda Carlisle and Robbie Williams
SET 3: A Setlist of Legends!: From the "Rock Lobster" quirkiness of the late 70s to the "Livin' on a Prayer" power of the late 80s and the "Let Me Entertain You" swagger of the 90s, no stone is left unturned. This is a "Wall to Wall Hits" experience where every song is a highlight.
