South-West Sydney siblings Jack Anthony Bown and Sophie Jean Bown are kicking things off with their brand new project The Favourite, and they’re celebrating with their debut show at The Factory Theatre on Saturday November 15th.

After years of making music together, the pair have finally put it all under one name. They've just dropped their first single “When Did You Ever Want It?”, but this show is the real beginning – the first time The Favourite will hit the stage as a full band.

Jack and Sophie will be joined by their mates Brandon Barillaro (guitar), Jacob Rokobaro (bass) and Aleks Jankov (drums), bringing the songs to life with the kind of energy you can only get from a group of friends who love playing together.

Jack and Sophie are no strangers to the Sydney scene. Before starting The Favourite, Jack released a handful of tracks under his own name, including 2023’s “On My Own” which featured Sophie on vocals. That song gave a glimpse of the chemistry they now bring fully into this new project.

November 15th at the Factory is more than just a launch – it’s the first chance to see your new favourite band.

COSMIX

Cøsmix is a thoughtful alt-rock trio from Sydney making music about love, change, heartbreak, and the strange weight of being human. It all started in 2019 when Yohan Rad (vocals/guitar) and Nick Craig (drums) met through the Talent Development Project. After a few false starts, they finally jammed, joined by Nick’s childhood friend Max Ogle on bass, and the connection was instant. After a successful East Coast tour behind their debut EP Nothing Stays, Cøsmix is now building a festival to support Sydney’s indie scene, bringing artists together, sharing fans, and creating space for something real.
