After moving from the small country town of Brisbane, Thomas Bleach can’t find a boyfriend in Sydney. He’s tried Tinder, Grindr, LinkedIn, and Raya (yes, he got accepted), and still no luck. So now he’s going to build one in a stand-up comedy special which debuted at Sydney Fringe Comedy 2024, and is getting a brand new refresh for his debut at Sydney Comedy Festival 2025. Directed by Edan Mcgovern, this 50 minute show blends stand up comedy with lip syncs and skits as he brings you into the colourful world of his new business "Build A Boyfiriend", which for legal reasons is not to be mistaken with "Build A Bear".

Thomas Bleach conducted his debut east coast Australia tour in 2022 with "This Show's Not About You", which was definitely a show about one of his ex-boyfriends. His stand up comedy career has seen him opening for Mitchell Coombs, performing at Sydney Fringe Festival, performing headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and being nominated for Performer Of The Year at the Brisbane Pride Queens Ball in Brisbane. He also was a co-producer of The Switch Up which saw comedians do drag, and drag performers do stand-up comedy.

Outside of stand-up comedy Thomas runs a music entertainment website BLEACHED (www.bleachedistheword.com) which has seen him interviews artists like Tate McRae, Jack Antonoff, Tove Lo, George Ezra, Maisie Peters, Lauv, Simple Plan, MUNA and more. In June 2024 he launched BLEACHED: The Podcast which is now in its second season.
