Originally half of iconic comedy duo The Laughing SamoansTofiga Fepulea’i is one of Aotearoa/NZ’s most successful comedy acts, proving to be a force in his own right since the pair parted ways in 2019. The NZ-Samoan comedian's 2021 NZ Comedy Festival solo debut smashed attendance records, with Tofiga becoming the highest-selling comic that year, and one of the all-time highest-grossing local comics in the festival’s history.

Sharing his gifts for music, acting and sketch comedy over his twenty year-plus career, Tofiga continues to entertain audiences both on stage to packed houses around the world and on social media to his half a million followers. Now Australian audiences get to enjoy Tofiga’s solo standup comedy genius for themselves for the first time this December!

With inspirations drawn from his old-school upbringing in Samoa, his experiences as a Pacific Islander in New Zealand, and his transition into fatherhood with three young teenage sons, Tofiga leaves the audience in stitches as he shares his whirlwind ride of a life.

While Tofiga brings a whole new look and feel into Pacific humour, he has been delighted to discover that his comedy crosses cultural divides, with the characters he describes being relatable to all ages and ethnicities, saying,

"What I didn't realise is that many other ethnicities, like when we came to Australia, there were Lebanese and Italians, and the further up in Australia like Queensland you get Torres Strait Islanders and Aboriginal people coming to watch, and they said they had very similar aunties."

A hilarious show the whole family can enjoy, don’t miss Tofiga Fepulea’i live on stage this silly season!
