On Saturday 16 May as part of Kids & Family Day, Sydney Comedy Festival will be asking the kids of Sydney - What’s so Funny?!

The “What’s So Funny?!” Kids Comedy Competition is BACK! And just like our wildly successful year in 2025 - it is is FREE to enter, FREE to watch and promises a whole lot of laughs for kids and parents alike.

Comedy Workshop / Heats: 12pm May 16
Grand Final: 1:15pm May 16

From ages 5 – 15, from fart jokes to rehearsed sketch comedy – this is a fun and inclusive opportunity for all the class clowns and jokesters to jump up on stage and give a real live audience a giggle. There are some seriously awesome prizes to win too – like a mentor session with a professional working comedian and a slot on the prestigious Comedy Store stage!
