So many Australian's are affected by a cancer diagnosis every year and this number continues to grow. Acacia Bloom feels that they need to join the fight against one of the deadliest diseases which continues to have such a devastating impact on Australia. Because of this, on Sunday 26th, Acacia Bloom will be taking over the Factory Floor in Marrickville to present Music for a Cause, a 3 hour sceptical full of amazing music, by amazing musicians all for an amazing cause!!
Music for a Cause is more than just a regular gig, it is a night where we can all come together to celebrate the power of music and raise money for a cause that affects so many Australians. Cancer Council's annual Relay for Life events are held all over the country and have been a mainstay since 1999, even surviving through covid. Every year $14 million is raised from Relay for Life with every dollar raised going towards Cancer Council's vital research, prevention and support programs, many of which help those in our community every day. The continuing efforts shown by the Cancer Council's Relay for Life in their fundraising and the resilience and courage shown by countless cancer sufferers and survivors is the main inspiration for Acacia Bloom choosing Relay for Life as the recipient of the proceeds from Music for a Cause.
Every musician involved in Music for a Cause shares a passion and commitment to seeing a cancer-free future in Australia and thanks to Century Venues, this event is a possibility. Tickets are only $20, with all ticket proceeds being made as a donation to Relay for Life. In exchange for what is a $20 donation, you are not only making a vital donation towards cancer research, you are also being rewarded with 3 hours of music by 3 bands who are willing to give it their all and leave everything they have on the Factory Floor stage for those who so desperately need the money we raise.
