FREEKIN WEEKENDS – BARE NECESSITIES

Nominated for 'Best Music Event' at the FBi SMAC Awards, Bare Necessities events are a world tour of street parties across the globe, packed into an afternoon, without ever clearing customs.  Pounding rhythms, blaring horn sections, winding hips, and smiles every direction you look.

Following on from their renowned series of rooftop parties, the BN crew present the first Bare Necessities Courtyard Party at the Factory Theatre's outdoor stage, with a mini-festival lineup.

Direct from Harare, Zimbabwean Sungura guitarist and singer SYLENT NQO joins us for the Sydney stop of his first ever Australia tour.  An award-winning guitarist and magnetic showman not to be missed.

Afro-Hip-Hop trio TRUE VIBENATION have graced stages from Womadelaide to Glastonbury and will be making their BN debut at the courtyard, and a crowd favourite; 14-piece women's Brazilian Drumming troupe, ILE ILU, make a long-awaited return.

And of course, BARE NECESSITIES COLLECTIVE - an essential element of any BN party - with Dj's Klue, E.T Le Createur and OroAna, joined by Zhee Lin, Moody, Vuli, and Dom Diaz on Horns, Dean Ginsberg on percussion, and special guest vocalists including Anieszka, Mathias, and more.

Dj sets from Lady Chika, E.T Le Createur, OroAna, Dj Sivel, Dom Diaz and Rachell Dade will complete the adventure.
