The Swedish/Colombian Samson For President has gained the love of both international journalists and music lovers - even if he still remains remarkably unknown. Rolling Stone Magazine recently commented on his latest album - calling it a ”gem full of quality and potential”. His genre is difficult to define, but he moves effortlessly in-between soul, rock, ballads and folk music.
Hailing from Sydney’s Inner West, Burkina Flats are a group busily producing contemporary gutter rockers, infused with elements of folk, blues, country and roots and a large stadium sound. Burkina Flats have received praise for their ability to capture a warm and analogue sound despite their music being mixed and recorded by their self-taught member Saxon Thompson, who produced it all in his bedroom studio.
