2 time Moosehead grant recipient (2005 and 2019), Tanya has written and performed 6 solo shows as part of numerous festivals throughout Australia. Boulevard of Broken Bonbonniere is her latest offering.

With 53 years of wedding experience —spanning roles as a guest, flower girl, bridesmaid, bride, emcee and now celebrated Canberra comedian and celebrant Tanya has seen it all (almost). Having witnessed half a century of nuptials, Tanya is on a mission to honour the humble bonbonniere through comedy and dance. While she brings warmth to the  legal part of ceremonies, her true passion lies in rescuing forgotten wedding trinkets.

Tanya dreams of opening the world’s first Bonbonniere Museum, so invites the audience into her "Boulevard of Broken Bonbonniere" designed to celebrate the kitsch, the classic, and the completely ridiculous. It is a comedic journey taking visitors from '70s tacky tulle bags to modern trendy trinkets that actually outlast the big day. In Boulevard of Broken Bonbonniere, she explores how these small tokens reflect the huge, often hilarious, emotional rollercoaster of weddings.

The show is a hilarious, joyful and slightly chaotic love story about one woman’s love of weddings as well as a tribute to the wedding favours left behind when the dancing ends.
