Great Southern Nights is a celebration of live music and will feature a taster series of performances across Enmore, Marrickville, Newtown, Parramatta and Penrith for ten nights from 16-25 November 2023 ahead of afull program in March 2024. Emerging in 2005, The Temper Trap, a Melbourne-based indie sensation, swiftly rose from the local scene, culminating in a triumphant debut at the 2006 St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival. The allure of their first EP attracted the attention of renowned producer Jim Abbis, resulting in their 2009 release "Conditions." The album's defining track, "Sweet Disposition," achieved platinum status, boasting 500 million Spotify streams and global acclaim. "Conditions" obtained Double Platinum in Australia, Gold in the UK, and sold over 750,000 units worldwide, garnering accolades including ARIA's Best Group and APRA's Song of the Year.

Touring alongside Coldplay and the Rolling Stones, they unveiled their self-titled album in 2012, ascending charts and clinching ARIA's Best Rock Album.  In 2016, they released the album “Thick As Thieves” which received another ARIA nomination along with the single ‘Fall Together’ receiving notable acclaim.

A TikTok resurgence for "Sweet Disposition" and a posthumous collaboration with Mac Miller rejuvenated their renown in 2022. These successes propel them back to the studio, underscoring The Temper Trap's indomitable musical journey. With unwavering creativity, the band continues to captivate audiences, etching their mark on the annals of indie rock.
